Rick L. Lawrence, Ph.D.
Emeritus Professor of Remote Sensing

I conduct teaching, research, and outreach in the fields of remote sensing, geographic information systems, and spatial analysis. Current research spans a wide range of applications related to natural resource management, from carbon sequestration, to crop and range issues, to forest and wildlife. I also have a strong interest in algorithm development for classification of remotely sensed imagery, specializing in classification tree analysis and its variants.
